What is cork rubber?

Cork rubber sheet is a kind of functional material compounded with natural cork particles and rubber as base material. It retains the excellent properties of cork (such as aging resistance, oil resistance, low temperature resistance, high coefficient of friction, good compression and resilience), and combines the high elasticity and tensile strength of rubber.
Properties of cork, the core raw material
1. Excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties: the honeycomb structure contains a large number of confined gases, making it a good thermal insulator and sound damping materials
2. Chemical stability: oil-resistant, resistant to dilute acids and alkalis, good resistance to a variety of chemicals
3. Natural and environmental protection: renewable, biodegradable, non-toxic and harmless.
Distribution of cork:
1. Portugal is the world's largest cork producer, accounting for more than 50% of the world's total production, with the richest cork oak forest resources. Portugal's AMORIM Group is the world's largest and most influential group of cork products
The business covers the whole industry chain from cork forest management, bark harvesting, primary processing to further processing into various kinds of high value-added cork products (including wine cork, cork for construction, cork pellets for composite materials, cork for high-tech applications, etc.). Its innovative R&D and market leadership in the cork field is recognized globally.
SealTex is the sole agent of AMORIM in China.

Cork rubber applications:
With its comprehensive performance, cork rubber sheet is widely used in:
1. Automobile industry: sealing gaskets for engine, gearbox, oil sump, valve cover, etc.; shock absorbing gaskets.
2. Mechanical industry: sealing of various pumps, valves, flanges, pipe joints; shock absorbing base of equipment.
3. Chemical industry: sealing occasions with requirements for oil and chemical resistance.
4. Power industry: sealing and vibration damping of transformers, switchgear and other equipment.
5. Other fields: aviation, construction (door and window seals, soundproof pads), ships, general machinery and so on.
